magical is not enough word for Conchal Beach
Conchal beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. At one end of its 4 km long, its beach, instead of sand, is made up of crushed shells of beautiful white and gold tones. The water in this part, given the rocky consistency, forms small natural pools, suitable for children when the tide is low.
The tones of the sea are always intense, between a turquoise blue and an emerald green that stands out on the clean and white sand, which in some sectors has small black spots.
The vegetation is abundant so there is enough shade, but it is not recommended to carry a lot of luggage, since access by car is prohibited, and there are no stores nearby to stock up.
Because of its beauty, it is best to spend the whole day in it, because you also have to walk about 1 km through Brasilito beach to reach it.

Conchal Beach, in the canton of Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, located 71 km west of Liberia, 280 km from San José, Costa Rica.
How to get there
3.5 hours driving from San José, drive to route 27, passing Orotina, then exit by El Roble taking Interamericana route. After Abangares exit left to Puente de la Amistad route, drive until Santa Cruz and finally take route to Brasilito.

there are many beautiful beaches in costa rica, especially guanacaste, but Conchal beach is not one of them.
crowded, full of venders, no shade, the beach is pieces shell not sand, small waves break right on the shore making going in the water difficult, parking is limited and someone wants to get paid to watch your car.
i guess it all depends on your criteria for what constitutes a beautiful beach. i prefer no crowds, no venders, and some palms to string up my hammock.
