Weird and dangerous, but in one extreme, beautiful
Puerto Vargas Beach, despite belonging to the Cahuita National Park, almost no one visits it, perhaps because at first the landscape is not attractive and because it has very strong currents, however, if you venture to walk a few kilometers to the left, to the north you will discover very attractive passages like the ones we show in these photos.
It is advisable to walk the trails until you leave the Cahuita sector, almost 6 kilometers of a tropical, exotic, very beautiful path, through which you will pass through Punta Vargas, Punta Cahuita, Playa Blanca and finally the main entrance of the park.
There is parking within the facilities, both on the Puerto Vargas side and on the Cahuita side. There is also abundant vegetation and fauna, such as confident white-faced monkeys that may not care much about your presence.
